I am not on a crusade. Yesterday I put up a post regarding Evangelical Christianity. This time I speak out of a heart of love and concern. Allow me to talk a little about growing up in Evangelical circles. There were some good things that came out of it like worshipping freely and hearing some good sermons. However much pain came out of it. I never fit in with the celebrity people in Christian circles. My dad was lifted up like he was some God. He was just a man. What ruined my life was the constant preaching of law and judgement. I could not enjoy my relationship with the Lord hearing sermon after sermon about how we need to pray more or read the Bible more. I will never again attend a church that preaches law. I disagreed with my dad a lot that he could never enjoy life because of the curse of the law. He would not enjoy life. Like belly laughing at an outing. Or dance with my mom. It was always Judgement. At the end of my dad’s life we talked a lot about grace. He gave away his huge library of books and started reading books on grace. Too many people put my dad on a pedestal and the pressure was too great for him. I believe if he were alive today most of his sermons would be about grace and God’s unconditional love. So that is what I meant about most, but not all Evangelical circles do more damage than good. If I am hurting I do not want to hear I don’t read the Bible enough and I need to pray more. I have a great relationship with the Lord. We danger ourselves when we put our pastors on pedestals. That is how cults are started. If someone is hurting don’t smother them with the law. We hide things and there is a facade that makes pastors look like they are perfect. And the control factor can kill many souls. Policing the congregation instead of shepherd ing the flock. My dad had a pastor’s heart. He even gave time for the youth at his church. My NYC sons loved my dad. The passion for law is what produces stoic robotic spirits I will never attend a church like that again. The handsome pastors have a following of women who would love counseling just to get close. I used to be a receptionist for Roger. One day this woman showed up with her big boobs hanging out with a tight dress. She said I am here for counseling with Roger. I looked at her sternly...’No you are not here for counseling dressed like that. You are here to seduce. I will counsel you.’ She walked out. She was from church! Come on now...I am speaking truth. I no longer have the same friends my dad had. I look for people with grace and unconditional love. My dad was never close to any Pastor. His friends were carpenters...Dave Devisscher, one Pastor with wit...Rick Hagans. And my husband because of his raw honesty. It is easy to work up a crowd but that is not God! One man shows are no longer popular. I have a Pastor friend. His sons are the real deal. They have tattoos, they are fighters in the arena, they speak their mind about junk and politics in the church, They have been chastised from religious leaders and nosey buddies. His father was cut off financially by different people without explanation. My point is: The letter kills, the Spirit gives life. Yes, I plan on writing a book about my life. We hide things under the carpet. My book title will be: ‘Dear God, what the hell?’

My hubby and I were listening to Bill Johnson Pastor of Bethel and he had a word of knowledge for people who need not just healing but medical solutions. I believe that is for me. Bill Johnson also says many times sickness can come from trauma like an injury that never heals. That is for me too.That word has been confirmed to me many times from different sources. I really only listen to 3 preachers. Wayne Monbleau who was the first preacher to preach New Covenant grace in the NY and NJ area for 41 years , Joseph Prince, Bill Johnson and on occasion Steven Furtick. Bethel has on line prayer rooms and meetings for healing on Saturday mornings. They have at least hundreds try to get into the prayer meeting but they only accept 40. Please pray I can get in. I am feeling nostalgic for the time when I could walk into any church and expect healing. NYC lead the nation spiritually IMO. That was in the 80's and early 90's. But no more! It is mostly show now! :( Please pray for NYC churches and for my healing thank you.

I cry a lot and wish I was healthy so I can do things other people can do. I cannot work for the Lord anymore. I cannot travel to my beloved Burundi orphanage. I am in extreme pain. I ask God why? Why won’t he let me fulfill my dreams. So many are accomplishing so much for the kingdom and I lay here with a bed of tears.
